In 1992 I founded the company Schmidhammer Immobilien GmbH. The core field of activity of this Innsbruck-based company was real estate brokerage in and around the capital of Tyrol. In 1998 I completed my training as a real estate trustee and developer. Since then, as a property developer I have completed several smaller objects in Tyrol.
At the end of 1992 my business associates and I started marketing properties in Nova Scotia, Canada. For the first few years here we worked for European emigrants. Because of very high demand, companies Annapolis Land Development LTD and Dream Land Development LTD were founded in 1995 and in 2001 respectively. Both companies worked with only one partner until 2010. Large sites subdivided into up to 80 lots were developed at the beautiful lakes in southern Nova Scotia and sold mainly on the European market.
About 15 years ago Gary Belliveau began building roads and houses for us and our customers. Gary is Canadian born in Nova Scotia. The Belliveau family has been in the earthwork, road, well and sewage treatment plant construction business for decades already. Many years ago Gary founded his own company GB Construction. Since the beginning of 2000 he has completed many turnkey house construction projects.
In 2010 I separated from my partner at the time and left the companies Annapolis Land Development and Dream Land Development. At the same time, my friend Gary Belliveau and I founded the currently existing company Pure Nature Developments. In addition, Gary and I took over the company Go Canada Development LTD in 2012. These companies develop selected sites at lakes in southern Nova Scotia.
Thanks to our longstanding experience, we have constantly improved our services and now offer a well-prepared package. The lots accessible by road and connected to electricity are accepted as building lots. The registration of property pursuant to the new land registry system of Nova Scotia is conducted either by our Innsbruck attorney and trustee Dr. Bernd Schmidhammer or filed locally in Canada by attorney Andrew S. Nickerson in Yarmouth. In the meantime, we can register new owners within 2-3 weeks. Our customers are always very surprised how quickly and easily everything works. The fact that there is a local contact in Canada and one contact here in Europe, we work very quickly when it comes to questions, offers or task processing. Our strength is that we are always close to our customers here in Europe and locally in Canada.
Our aim is to find a suitable property for our customers. Unlike our competitors, we are owners of the offered properties in Nova Scotia which allows us to provide the necessary legal security of overseas property. Furthermore, Gary and I also help with small things whenever required. Whether it is a matter of a tax invoice, information flight, proposal for a moorage or a house……. we try our best to respond as quickly as possible.
For more than 25 years now, I have also worked in Nova Scotia in addition to my engagement here in Tyrol. What was at the beginning only a small activity area of my work, has now developed by the demand into my main activity. It always brings me pleasure of meeting people who found their piece of nature and freedom in Nova Scotia. We will continue to provide the best services to our customers.
Because of economic and political problems in the world, investments in land in one of the safest countries on earth will be even in greater demand in the future. There will be no more free land in the world. Even in times of crisis our exclusive and fully developed properties provide a degree of safety and security. However, many of our customers already use them as a holiday home and enjoy the peace and nature.
